Ichi-go Ichi-ē. Ichi-go ichi ē. “One meeting, one chance.” This moment is precious. Even if we read this exact same post tomorrow, at the same time, in the same place, on the same phone, we can’t recreate an identical encounter with each other that is happening right now.

“We shall arrive at the place we started, and know the place for the first time.”
– T.S. Elliot, The Four Quartets

It takes artists years to draw a perfect circle. The process teaches us that there’s no such thing as “perfect.” The “flaws” make each of our circles unique. Life goes in circles.

Minors (ages 12 and up) may consent to mental health services in schools, agencies, and from licensed providers. Questions often come up around holder of privilege, HIPPA and FERPA, right to privacy, and what information can be shared with parents and legal guardians. Click here for guidance related to Minor Consent.
Many agencies with which Local Educational Agencies (LEAs) school districts, and County Offices of Education have MOUs / Partnership Agreements for school-based services will not provide services under the Minor Consent provisions, because it’s “too complicated” and raises liability issues. See Wogan for guidance on school-based behavioral health services, School Wellness Centers, and the workshop / training “Beyond Co-location” – presented at the ACSA Symposium in Anaheim, CA.

Sending the Love. I hope that wherever you are, you have peace in your heart, love in your life, health, and mental health. If for some reason you do not, please reach out.
